Alyssia Gale

Girl who at the age of ten was left without parents or memories after a horrific car crash. Ever since then, Alyssia has experienced vivid dreams in which she takes on the identities of the other four characters. She knows these dreams can't be real. After all, they're not set in the real world. Yet they feel real, and that's what matters.

At the start of Dawn Rising, the dreams have become more frequent and intense, so Alyssia has decided to visit a therapist in the hope of ridding herself of them for good and maybe regaining her lost memories as well. But that's not exactly how it turns out ...
