Until a few years ago, Torale was a normal young man growing up in a large and occasionally tempestuous family. But that was before he was captured by people who want to use the power in his blood for their own purposes. Now Torale is a prisoner, kept in an artificial sleep for much of the time and gradually being drained of his life force – some would say his soul.

The only person who knows what has become of Torale is Alyssia – and she's in another world.
